Leia ESB Hoth wrist communicator conversion kit.
Choose with or without the red Unimax switch cast part.
Please note the parts are only laid down on the red switch for the photo and the positioning is not exact, especially the two L shape bent part that need to be glued closer together. Here they aren't glued so they couldn't be positioned properly. Some interpretation is obviously needed for that prop so everyone will have fun and figure out what they prefer as well :-)
This kit contains everything you need to build your Leia comlink except for the vintage Stanley tape measure. The idea was that the red switch is much more difficult to find than the tape measure, so I'm providing everything that is difficult to find to make a really accurate comlink.
Some of the parts here have never been offered before because the references are pretty poor for that prop in filming condition. There has obviously been some degree of interpretation for those parts but I have done my best to make everything as accurate as possible. For, the big bent part that looks a bit like a croco, I even used the impression of the part left in the thick glue they used at the time to define some of the shape and the exact position and size of the holes :-)
I have worked really hard on all the knurled parts to make sure to have fully formed knurls and a perfect replica of the vintage parts, this is also something that is very rarely offered and very time consuming of course :-)
The red switch is professionally degazed and pressure cast resin. It is mastered from a vintage switch with some details reworked to match the exact and rare variation used on screen. You'll notive a couple holes missing in the top chimney as well as the thin columns on the inside walls, this is made on purpose as those are absent from the real prop. Please note this cast is only intended for this prop because of those specific details and the back has not been cast completely as the mold would not have survived more than a few cast. It can't be used for an EE8 blaster!
This was a VERY complex, intricate and time consuming kit to put together, I hope you enjoy your build :-)
